I boarded the Zoom airplane at Glasgow
feeling rather exited about flying out to Canada to visit friends.
Shortly after boarding, the pilot announced that they could not get
the plane started.
We all sat in the plane which seemed
like forever while technicians tried to get the plane started.
Finally the plane was ready for take
off. We were now one hour behind schedule. The pilot said that
he would try to make up for lost time.
This never happened.
As we got closer to Calgary I kept
looking at my watch. There was no way I was going to catch my
connecting flight ! Well I am not a religious person. But I clasped my
hands together and in my mind I pleaded with God;
"Please help me "Please
God, you have got to help me. I need your help so much, please
do not make this holiday a disaster...God I will have friends
waiting on me at Lethbridge...please, please help me. make a miracle
happen so I will catch my connecting flight."
The plane finally touched down at Calgary
at 2.30 pm.
My connecting flight was due to leave
at 3.05pm !
How was I going to make it ? I
had to first get out of this plane. Then I had to get through
customs. My luggage, I had to get my luggage. I had to
then find the Air Canada desk and check in my luggage.
How was I going to manage to do all
this?
Well I managed to get through customs very quickly! Then I
managed to quickly get my luggage.
When I finally got to the Air Canada
desk I was puffing and panting. It felt like I was on the verge
of a heart attack! I quickly explained everything to the young
man behind the desk, saying in a panic, "I don't know what I am
going to do!"
The young guy told me not to worry and
that he would make sure my luggage went onboard the charter
flight. He told me to hurry and directing me to the correct
gate.
Well, making this long story short, I
made my flight by the skin of my teeth!
People would say that this was luck but
it has nothing to do with luck ! I'm telling you that God heard
my prayers. A miracle happen! He made all those things
happen quickly. The customs, the luggage, the check in.
God was making sure I would catch my
connecting charter flight. I have being thanking Him almost
every day since. I am so grateful.
This has actually made my faith in God
much stronger. The time I got to the check in desk it was
2.45pm, and the flight was leaving at 3.05pm.
The guy that help me with my luggage,
he was an "angel" bless him.
All I can say is this I know that all
of this had nothing to do with luck. God made it all happen for me.
